Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2, 2026
This policy explains what Fostra collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account data (designer name and email), project data you enter (clients, rooms, items, prices, vendors, invoices), content you upload (images and notes), and basic technical logs needed to run the Service.
How we use it
To provide the Service: rendering your projects, generating documents, powering the client portal, and — when you opt in — assisting with AI drafting. We do not sell your personal data.
Pinterest integration
If you connect Pinterest, we request read-only access to your boards and pins (boards:read, pins:read). We use this access only to let you browse your boards and import images into a project.
We fetch board and pin data transiently for browsing and persist only the pins you explicitly import(their image, source link, and derived style attributes such as colors, materials, and keywords) — consistent with Pinterest’s developer terms. If you enable board auto-sync, we periodically check the linked board and import newly added pins.
Disconnecting and data deletion. When you disconnect Pinterest, we immediately and permanently delete your stored Pinterest access and refresh tokens and stop all further access and syncing. Pins you already imported remain in your project as your own project content; you can delete any imported item at any time, which removes its image reference and the Pinterest-derived attributes we stored. To have all Pinterest-derived data removed, disconnect and delete the imported items, or email us at hello@fostra.co and we will delete it for you.
No resale or redistribution. We do not sell, resell, license, or redistribute Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to any third party.
Fostra is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Pinterest. “Pinterest” is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
AI processing
When enabled, product pages and inspiration you provide may be sent to our AI provider to draft specifications and style guides. AI output is always presented as an editable draft and is never auto-committed.
Sharing and storage
Data is stored with our infrastructure and integration providers (e.g. database hosting, file storage, email delivery, AI, and Pinterest) as needed to operate the Service. Access tokens for connected accounts are stored to maintain the connection and can be deleted by disconnecting.
Your choices
You can edit or delete project content, disconnect integrations, and revoke client portal links. To request deletion of your account data, contact the operator of this Fostra instance.
