Your data is yours

Most software in this industry holds your projects hostage — export behind a paywall, data trapped in a canceled account, files that only open inside their tool. We built Fostra against that, and this page makes it a published commitment rather than a marketing line.

The policy

• Export is free on every plan. Trial, Solo, Studio — your clients, item schedule (spec list), invoices, and complete transaction ledger download as CSV whenever you want, as many times as you want.
• Export still works after you cancel.A lapsed account becomes read-only, never locked out: every page loads and every export endpoint keeps working. There is no “reactivate to download your files” step, and there never will be.
• Your clients can always pay you. If your subscription lapses with invoices outstanding, the client portal keeps accepting payments on them. Our billing status never blocks your receivables.
• No exit fees, no export fees, no data ransom. If you leave, you leave with everything.

As Fostra grows new record types, they join this list. The direction only ever expands.
